Far up to the north lies Etosha National Park. It's not really the wilderness, with a fence all around the park and artificial waterholes. But it's an excellent place to spot wildlife, primarily to the end of the dry season when all animals gather around the waterholes. What was a real surprise were the Black Rhinos, not just a few but dozens of them. They come at midnight for a drink and a little fight and even bring their little calfs along. There aren't many places left in Africa where you'll find them. What's a funny sight are the Giraffes, spreading their legs to reach the ground. At that moment they are most vulnerable and by the slightes noise up on their feet again. Even the shy leopard shows up during daytime.
