Most of you heard about Couchsurfing. Something similar is www.warmshowers.org, but specialy for cyclist. After joining the community you're able to look for potenziell hosts. Often people who have been travelling before, enjoyed hospitality and want to give something back. Unfortunately, there ain't many in Africa, but here in Cairo I got lucky and found a nice place to stay.
